1Using iCloud

Step 2: Once you select the photos you wish to transfer, choose a folder to save these files on Dropbox and click “upload.”
Step 3: When you log into your Dropbox account using your Mac, the same photos will be available for download on your computer.

Disadvantage: Dropbox is a cloud based backup storage, hence you require the internet to backup and download files.
3Transfer iPhone Photos to Mac via Email
Step 1: Log into your email address.
Step 2: Proceed to create a new email and select a recipient, (you can also select your own email as the recipient).
Step 3: Navigate to the attachment option in your email and select the photos you wish to upload and attach it to the email and send it.
Step 4: On your Mac, log into that same email and look for the attached photos in your inbox and simply download it to your computer again.

Disadvantage: File transfer using Email are usually limited to 25MB and you also need to have an internet connection to upload an attached file.
